to me, boogety-boogety cheese. >> stephanie: yeah. we have just been talking about -- the president -- this is just a perfect example of obama derangement he comes forward with measures that the polls show the american people are largely behind. and i don't even know what to say about the nra ad saying the president's children -- first of all the children are off limits. second of all -- what? >> yeah, use your brain holes. they were saying the problem wasn't guns it is mental illness, but they failed to mention the mental illenings was their own. by the way the majority of their own members believe there should be restrictions in place to retain guns. you have to get a license to fish, hunt, drive a car, build a house, how it is that you don't need a license to purchase ammunition? the kid in aurora purchased tens of thousands of rounds on the internet. what it is -- as you said it's obama derangement. but i'm really happy that he said i'm going to sign every piece of legislation in to law as i can. >> stephanie: yeah i just watched the video of george bush sayi

, every time i talk about how our foreign policy should be like colin powell's foreign policy, for five, six years, even before he endorsed barack obama the first time, i would get attacked for associating with colin powell's very conservative with a small "c" realist approach that republican presidents followed for years. it was the weinberger doctrine. it was the reagan doctrine. it was the powell doctrine. and suddenly, it became the doctrine of lefties? >> colin powell is a self-identified republican and has been for many, many years. and with each passing year, with each passing election cycle, the republican party, too many within the republican party, try to further estrange him from the republican party platform, from much of what is said publicly by a lot of republicans. colin powell is also a guy who has the ability and the belief that a lot of republicans -- not a lot -- but too many republicans and too many democrats don't have, he has the ability and the belief to put country ahead of party. and that's unfortunately something that's passe in washington. >> the problem, leig

. >>> it is a weird show for me tonight, i don't like anything we're talking about. i don't like talking about gun violence in america or about what happened at sandy hook. i really don't like talking about this video that we showed you last night that the nra did using president obama's daughters. using his daughters in their insane propaganda about their cause of making sure that american mass murderers are the best equipped mass murderers in the world. i don't like these subjects, and we're going to have to talk about it a little bit more. because today, instead of taking down that video the nra spent the day defending it. we'll have more on that coming up. email marketing from constant contact reaches people in a place they're checking every day -- their inbox. and it gives you the tools to create custom emails that drive business. it's just one of the ways constant contact can help you grow your small business. sign up for your free trial today at constantcontact.com/try. >> we have to examine ourselves and our hearts, and ask ourselves what is important. this will not happen unless the ameri

president obama has been president is the continual -- a concerted effort to compare himself to president lincoln, a first in his talking about the book that he was reading -- i cannot remember the title of it -- >> king of rivals? caller: now he is taking the inauguration on the lincoln bauble. there is an idea that some callers have made that this president has faced worst consequences or worse situations than previous presidents i think is somewhat absurd. the fact that he is half-black, there is nothing to it. he is the president of united states and is supposed to be president of everybody. unfortunately, i have lost confidence in the politicians in washington, d.c. and i think the people of the united states should continually boat these people out of office on a regular basis until they start doing what they're supposed to do which is represent the people of the united states. we have a democratically elected republic and people need to pull out their history books and find out what that is and realize that when we send them to office, would give them the authority to vote the way

is proposing would have stopped the massacre at sandy hook. president obama is targeting the rights of law-abiding citizens instead of what caused the violence. that is a very strong response from someone who's talked about as a 2016 potential candidate. >> and he also accused the president of abusing his executive power in the 23 actions. when you read the 23 actions, frankly, these are very weak directives. there's not much more the white house could do. they've got a whole bunch of things out there, but to call it an overreach is a big, big stretch there. but you're right, andrea, that's presidential politics. the most important responses, though, on this front have come from the two people in charge of putting legislation on the floor of the house and the senate. and speaker boehner's spokesperson said we'll be happy to look at any proposals that pass the senate. well, what did harry reid say last weekend about voting on any bills having to do with gun legislation? they are not going to vote on anything unless they know it can pass the house. here we are, stalemate. >> exactly. >> back

president and certainly president obama with their strength of the office and going around the country and talking to americans which basically agree with the president, it's going to be up to the people across the country to talk to their members of congress to make sure that we and get this done. this can save lives. we've saw that. when the large magazine clips, which i've been reintroducing ever since 204, when that ban was in place, we did not see these magazines out on the streets. and they were very expensive because they were rare. we can do that again to cut that down. we're not going to be taking away anyone's right to own a gun. the supreme court already did that. but with the president laying out what he did, in a very holistic way, by the way, by working with our schools, making sure we have community policing, have psychologists. it's going to be up to the schools to make the decision on what they want, but we should be there to help them. ifwe can't protect our children from school or someone going to the movies, i think that has hit the heart of everybody in this countr

'm going to sign these orders.
